Full support for abstracts in Simplified (zhs) and Traditional
(zht) Chinese, with the CJK font loading tuned so it does not slow every
other build down.
IPL/ISEL
Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa arrived with its own styles, cover layouts and integrity statements. NOVA FCSH had its integrity statement automated in the same release.
Dates and statements
Date handling was overhauled and standardised on \PrintDateISO across
schools, and statement generation — integrity, copyright — was refactored for
consistency. If you have ever seen a cover print a date in one format and a
statement in another, this is the release that stopped it.
Version 8.0 followed a few months later, and with it the move of glossaries to
bib2gls.
